can't find much with just an email, tried to locate some stuff but couldn't

you can get the ip adress from the email message and find the location and go from there

You might get IP address in Full Header view of message.

If it's just an a-hole he probably isn't using proxies.

if it is a hotmail address, the headers will provide information from the MS server, not the persons actual IP. From there, you would have to hack the hotmail mail server to find out the information for that account. Good luck
