Hm, I've been googling, and the only actual info I can find says there's no activation fee, but I swear I've heard there's a fee when you buy it.

If someone can confirm...

When you buy them there IS a activation fee, 3.99 for 25 dollar ones. I don't know about the 20 dollar ones .
