I liked the suggestion of a bot makers forum and I'm trying to make a team of bot makers so I decided to go through with it!

Now the question is, private or public?

Some bot makers prefer private so their work doesn't leak ahead of time which some like more attention so public. OR do both, if its both this is how it will work:

I will make 2 separate forums, one public and the other private. The private one you will need to submit a form and also a piece of your previous work and if you are half decent, you'll probably get access to it!

The bot forums are for bot makers and people with great ideas who don't know how to transform that into code. You have a kickass idea for a botmaker? Drop it in the Bot forum and possibly someone will make a bot out of it! And for botmakers they can get help from other bot makers to get a certain thing added in or get suggestions!

So now it's time to vote I guess, I'll end this at 8pm EST tonight!

Does private = subscriber or does it mean bot makers only?
Also, can't we just use the current programming forum for this if it is to be public?

Well I have plans to adapt the programming forum into an ACTUAL programming forum to learn or get general help. I shouldve said the use of the bot forum.

Drop it in the Bot forum and possibly someone will make a bot out of it! And for botmakers they can get help from other bot makers to get a certain thing added in or get suggestions!

As for the private forum, you will need to be a bot maker and request access, subscribers can't view unless they request it as well. It's not a release forum.

I would like to see a place where people average people could post ideas/places for botting. But yet a place where bot writers could also talk. I personally don't care if they are public, but would hate to see the developer forum turn into "OMGZ I N33D 2 MAK3 A BOT 4 CLUB LIVE. I CANT CODE PLZ CODE IT 4 ME!!!!!"

I would guess that bots would start off private for other developers. More of a test this out tell me what you think/ideas and when it is released for general consumption it gets released to subscribers.

NO not really. The subscribers would probably get access to the bots after they have been made. It seems that it is for the development of th bots and then they will be released into the subscribers section

bot section is for DEVELOPING ONLY

if they want it to be tested it can go else where. its not to share bots like how we do now at ALL.

I think that both is the right call. One that the coders/developers can work in would be the private area. The public forum would be for final beta testing and finished bots that the coders wish to release.

We have to remember that some coders may wish their work to remain private for some length of time. This by be due to the fact that they may hate to work so hard on a bot only to get questions like:

1. Can I have you source code?.
2. So and so's bot works better than your bot - ie: you suck at coding.
3. Can I make 500 accounts with this bot and wreck this site for all time.
4. Nude pictures for bots
5. Etc......

Well, maybe not the 4th one but, you get the idea. Most coders love to code for the sake of coding only. If you give them some room they will do wonderful things.

Why not just make it so everyone can read but only bot makers can post. If not I'd be for either both or private.

I say 1 of each.

The private one just for the coders and the public one for Previews.

gay it should be private and only to good bot makers i dont wanna be posting my scripts that are for good sites like for moola so some noob can just copy paste and put his name and claim he made a bot.
