[Doom]

Well as some of you have already noticed... I'm no longer Purple. This is new as of yesterday (9/3/09).

There's been a lot of questions I've seen floating around about the very simple, yet very powerful, change of color. In reality, I don't have any more permissions then Commodore or Myself had before hand. That's not the point of the matter OR reason behind why it was done.



To answer the questions that I've seen raging about already -

No, I did not buy CN from Chewy, or anyone else for that matter.

In a way, I suppose. I'd rather call it "Taking Responsibility"

Well what happened to Chewy then?
I'm honestly not sure what is going on in Chewy's life right now. Last I legitimately heard from him, he was moving, and that was about a month ago. He never answers his cell, and he's almost never on AIM anymore. If he is, I never get any form of response, not of recent times at least. Otherwise he drops by CN every few days to make sure the boards are online and working, so it's been nigh impossible for me or anyone else to get a hold of him.

What does all of this mean then?
Well that's why I'm making this announcement, keep reading.

As Chewy has been gradually getting lost in the swirl of life, he hasn't been on and as dedicated to CN as he used to be. Be it too busy with life, or just general loss of interest of maintaining CN. Right now, he's still has full ownership of CN. He pays for hosting, he owns the VB License, HE'S TEH SUPA-ADMIN!!11!!1 This site is still 100% his, plain and simple. I'm just one who holds great power and influence across this board, and also the general scene of these "Cheating" sites.

As I said recently in the suggestion forum, I would love to Buy CN. But at what price it would be offered at, is way out of my league. I'm not rich, I don't make nearly as much money as some people on here (Sean, Armman, Sandbox, Psyduck, Legend, Sling, Commodore,). At that, I don't make much money at all. I just take what I can get, and be happy with what I've got.

All of CN's finances are handled by Chewy, whether paying the bills or managing the sub/ad revenue. That's all up him, he's free to do what he wants with it, it's his site, it's his money. Personally, I don't care what he does with the money, just as long as he keeps this site up and running. A lot of people judge him for it, and say "WELL HE SHOULD MAKE THE SITE BETTER WITH THE MUNIEZ HE EARNS". In reality, there really isn't much he can do to make us better, behind the scenes and out of public view, he really has put a lot of time and money into the site, paying for expensive forum tweaks, vbSEO, or even the vB License and monthly hosting. A lot of you take Chewy and CN for granted, but one day if we just dissapear into the wind, You'll miss it. Chewy can never get his priorites straightend out, but give the guy some respect, sure he could do a lot better, but at least he cares enough to keep us online... Chewy's only Human after all.

This board is about the exploitation and (or) rapage of promotions and sites in the everlasting mission of receiving awesome shit or making money. We're not here to troll Chewy and call him a bitch for taking his OWN sites money and using it for personal means. Every site owner does that, just somehow you guys have built up Chewy to have this massively bad rep. That's not what we're about guys! That's why I'm attempting to step in and fix some of this. That's what this is all about.

I've been on the Scene since it's birth, July 15th / 2007. Almost everyone knows the name "Doom", be it on CN, TC, EN, TBN, or even over at M-12. The better part of the original Administration(s) of CN have long past and forgotten about CN, but I've always stuck around best I can. I suppose that's what brought me all this way.

CN is in a slump right now, I'll admit that. Everyone knows that, and we have no more excuses. As I laid out in my other post, it's both lack of user support and lack of good sites to bot. All these "Cheating" sites have grown too big to sufficiently satisfy all their users, and I think that may be a growing issue for us too. The only big thing we have right now is Club Bing and Lockerz, and you can't even bot Lockerz... Otherwise there are a few active Subscriber sites/bots for non-public exploits/promotions. It seems everyone takes out their anger and failure of CN's ability to deliver on Chewy, but really, it isn't specfically his fault. Everyone else needs to do something before they can expect to get any return. The reason I worked together the Subs giveaway offer is to help throttle the user input aspect of CN, and the everlasting search of new sites or promotions to take advantage of.

As for the Blue name(root), I suppose there's a few reasons why I'm Blue. I haven't didn't discuss this with Chewy, at least not recently, or formally, but he's acknowledged my actions and appears to agree with what I've got to say. It was more or less a Self-Promotion. One thing I'm hoping for is that seeing Doom in blue will change peoples mindset and perspective of what they associate CN with. Before, Everyone's train of thought would be CN - Chewy - Greed - Bitch. If I can turn this all around and fix CN's status quo, then I've accomplished my goal. Doing that will take awhile though... it takes a lot longer to meticulously rebuild something then to destroy it in seconds.

There's a lot of things I want to look into, adjust, or fix. But it'll take time for me to work through them and gain the proper permissions from Chewy to do so. But I'd also like as much public input as possible, I want you guys to be happy and keep with us here at CN. During our worst times like now, or the best botting times we've ever had. Sometime within the next week, I'll be posting a thread in the Suggestions Section asking specfically what you'd like to see. Myself and the rest of the Staff will continually sort through them and see what's viable, useful, and within reach and our boundries.

Changes certainly won't happen right away, I still need to get in contact with Chewy... but nothing is easy or quick, not even in this digital age of instant gratification. This place means a lot to me, and I'll do what I can to keep it on it's feet, So just stick with me, It'll get better.

To draw to a close, the CLF placeholder construction page once said a good 2+ years ago, "Get ready, This'll be BIG", and dammit it impuLsive was dead on.

anyway I'm willing to step it up to super-senior member (whatever that is lol), if u want to talk to Chewy next time he posts in the B/S/T forum make him an offer, u should get a brief convo from him
but in all honesty it just the recession, companies don't want to give away free stuff so sites like this suffer as well

There are many things that can be done to the boards and with a little tweak to the forum permissions many simple things can be changed for the better. As is, the boards look good, it is the stuff in the background that needs a little help. Adding iTrader, some freebie rss feeds, remember me being checked by default, upgrading to VB 3.8.3, etc....

I freaking love it. Epic Post, this thread just brought me soo much confidence for CN's future. The tweaks that CS talked about are also great thoughts and are something to think about. If I could just put in my own suggestion...lets get a new theme. A new look for a Re-Birth of CN. It is much needed, I along with other members have gotten bored with looking at the same Blue and Black theme. Lets have contests for a new theme or new icons, favicons, logos, etc. We can pull through with just a few days work.

I think your name looks good when it's blue because of your avatar. As for CN dying, we are in some sort of cheating recession. There are no sites besides Club Bing and Lockerz like Doom said so if you guys find sites, just post it here and hopefully it will be as big as CB.
