have you popped the sim card slot out with the small tool that they gave you. There's an att sim card in it. All U.S. iphone will have one
Your getting no service because you dont have an account set up with them. It doesnt matter if there's a sim card or not. Why would you get service for something your not paying for?
Here's another way to see if you have a sim card
Click the settings icon
Then look for the green phone icon. If there is no sim card in the phone, itll say "no sim" in a light gray text next to the icon. The icon is unclickble
If there is a sim in it, you can click on the phone icon to go into the phone settings. Itll give you a bunch of Att options.
