Lol $40 a month for a game server sounds reasonable.. considering over here in Aus we get them for like $50 /12 slot. I've run so many servers over the years, bought one once.. the rest I just hijacked from the owner
The best way to make back the money is to charge for admin or something - little nerd gamers will pay for that sort of thing if your server is good enough.
